Ilkley Toy Museum opened in 2001 and displays a private collection of toys put together over the last two decades.
Showing toys from 4th century BC to the present day you can see dolls, dolls houses, teddies, tinplate toys, games, soldiers and much more. The museum has a nationally important collection of early English wooden dolls.

The word “doll” was not used for a
toy until the late 17th century.
We are in the centre of Ilkley -a short walk from the train and bus station. There is a large car park in the centre of Ilkley or pay and display on street parking.
We welcome school visits from any age group. We provide all the learning materials you will need for your visit.
